Hannah Cook is the Associate Director of the Nebraska Children’s Justice and Legal Advocacy Center (NCJC) housed in the College of Law. Hannah graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Law in 2022. During the 2021-2022 academic year, Hannah was a student in the Children’s Justice Clinic, representing children as a Guardian ad Litem in 3a Dependency and 3b Delinquency cases in Lancaster County. After graduating, she worked for the Defender Association of Philadelphia in their Child Advocacy Unit until 2024. Hannah represented children as a Guardian ad Litem in the Juvenile Division of Philadelphia County Family Court. She was able to apply what she learned in the CJC by providing trauma-informed advocacy to children in Philadelphia County.
In November 2024, Hannah joined the NCJC as the Associate Director. She manages the CJC caseload during summer months once the students have graduated. She leads CJAE day-to-day—including curriculum, expanded cohorts, and consultant management—and is key to packaging the NCJC model for national rollout.
